At the center of his policy, the active diplomacy of the President of the Republic is brought to the service of peace and development of the sub-region and of the African continent. Engaged in the resolution of open or latent crises in various countries of the continent, either bilaterally or withing the framework of regional organizations, Togo's voice now carries in the concert of Nations. Togolese diplomacy was also illustrated in the efforts to bring together and get closer to the diaspora in order to better involve them in the sustainable development of Africa.

A great reformer, he leads various actions to open Togo to the world and strengthen the country's involvement in the development of peace and security in Africa and in the world. He is the negociator in Chief for the ACP group of countries in the framework of the ACP-EU negotiations for the post-Cotonou 2020 agreement.
